We believe that regular times tables practice is key to building a student's confidence and developing a "can-do" attitude to all
times tables aspects of mathematics. Knowing the times tables is key in undertaking large number multiplication, and strong recall
of times tables is critical when it comes to solving division. The only way for a student's times tables to "flow" is through
repetition. You cannot expect a student to know their times tables from the very beginning, that is why we provide times tables
scaffolding so the student has the means to get their times tables correct which we believe helps build their times tables confidence.
